Home Alone is a brilliant film directed by John Hughes, which explains the hilarious story of a house robbery attempt through the eyes eight year old Kevin McCallister . The director starts the story in Kevin’s house where his family is getting ready to leave for France the next day. While they are preparing their last dinner at their house before they leave for France, Kevin gets into a fight with his brother and is forced to sleep on the third floor.

Mac showed a talent that very little child stars have now-a-days. He brought in a great comedy about a boy who accidentally is left home alone when his family goes on vacation and takes on two burglars. Home Alone arrived in theaters 25 years ago, and it remains the #1 highest-grossing live-action comedy film of all time. Now, illustrator Kim Smith has reimagined the story as a classic Christmas fable—complete with bumbling burglars, brilliant booby-traps, and a little boy named Kevin who’s forced to fend for himself.
Kevin - Allein zu Haus
He was credited for creating some of the most memorable comedy films of the 1980s and the 1990s, when he was at the height of his career. He had a talent for writing coming-of-age stories, and for depicting fairly realistic adolescent characters. It's Christmas time and the McCallister family is preparing to head to Paris for vacation.
Meanwhile, Jeff and Pam arrive at the Mercer's and get inside. Overhearing them talk about getting an "ugly little boy", Max assumes they are talking about kidnapping and selling him. Max fears if Officer McCallister realizes he is home alone, his parents may get arrested. The thieves finally deduce that Alex has been watching them and decide to break into his house.
Early life
One star for the pretty illustrations, other than that, it's just a cash grab because of the beloved film. Not that it would be easy to make it interesting or fun to read, because it's not, especially in a couple of pages, but as it is, this is the movie in a storybook for children, you better just show the movie to your kids instead of reading this.. Meanwhile, back at the McCallister home, Kevin thinks that his Christmas wish has come true when he realizes he is alone in the house.
Kevin suggests to Marley that he should reconcile with his son. The McCallister family is preparing to spend Christmas in Paris, gathering at Peter and Kate's home in a Chicago suburb on the night before their departure. Peter and Kate's youngest son, Kevin, is the subject of ridicule by his older siblings and cousins. Kevin inadvertently ruins the family dinner after a brief scuffle with his oldest brother Buzz, in which Kevin's airplane ticket is accidentally thrown away, resulting in Kate sending him up to the attic. Kevin berates his mother for allowing the rest of the family to pick on him and wishes that his family would disappear.
Home Alone Film Review
I’ll work on my novel, and in the quiet, I’ll start to straighten out the kinks in my plot line and figure out back stories and sinister motivations. My characters will be all the better for having me to themselves this weekend. The days stretch out in front of me, and in my mind I’m already filling the hours with impossible lists of tasks to accomplish before I hear the crunch of the truck on the driveway gravel. In the rush, one of the elder children counts the rest, and there are about ten or eleven of them, and finds that they are all ready, because he has included a visiting boy from the neighborhood. An extended family, with adults, cousins, adversarial siblings and a chaotic setup has planned a Christmas vacation across the ocean.

The five other USA TODAY Sports writers — Scooby Axson, Jace Evans, Paul Myerberg, Eddie Timanus, and Dan Wolken — all are riding with the Pac-12 champions, the Utah Utes. The pick of Utah is a safe one as the Utes are a slight favorite in Pasadena over the Nittany Lions. And considering the style of football Utah plays, along with the fact this is a return trip for Utah after playing in the game last season, it does make sense to pick Utah. With the college football bowl season about to kick things off, it is time to officially go on the record with some bowl game predictions.
He takes Buzz's life savings, practices shooting with Buzz's BB gun, jumps on the bed, watches a gangster film, and eats a large amount of junk food. The funniest for me is when Harry and Marv pretend to be Santa Claus and his elf and the way Harry speaks in that scene, followed by the even funnier part when Kevin fires at Harry's pants. Whenever Kevin fools the bandits in a try to make them believe the whole family is at home when Kevin is all alone is funny too.
Also, he places Kevin and co. in a large brick home in a large neighborhood in Chicago; a home that very much resembles those in 'Planes.' and 'Uncle Buck' . Yeah, it's quit unrealistic about the burglars, but honestly, this is a terrific family film. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are the perfect comedy duo of two idiots who can't rob the place because a 8 year old child has out witted them and set some clever and very funny traps around the house.
